Morgan is a killer in new Fear the Walking Dead Season 4 teaser
We’re a month away from The Walking Dead’s Season 8 finale — which will then directly lead to the fourth season premiere of Fear the Walking Dead— with Morgan (Lennie James) shambling over from the mothership to the spinoff series. The crossover event will even make it to the big screen in select theaters for a commercial-free, one-night only special screening, and to whet our appetite for Morgan’s debut on FTWD, AMC has unveiled a new dramatic character promo.
Featuring voice-overs from Morgan and Madison (Kim Dickens), the promo doesn’t spoil much in terms of storyline for the zombie apocalypse drama’s upcoming season from new showrunners Andrew Chambliss and Ian Goldberg. What it does is put the spotlight on Morgan and returning characters Madison, Alicia (Alycia Debnam-Carey), Nick (Frank Dillane), Strand (Colman Domingo), and Luciana (Danay Garcia). We also get shots of new Season 4 characters John (Garret Dillahunt), Naomi (Jenna Elfman) and Althea (Maggie Grace), who all look like they’ll be fantastic additions to the cast.
“I ran,” Morgan says in the promo. “My wife, my son, my friends, that’s who I lost before I lost myself. In this world, you will be torn apart by teeth or bullets. I learned to accept what I was — a killer. Everything I saw was red. In this world, we’re always on our own.” Morgan’s bleak speech contrasts with Madison’s more hopeful views for the future: “I’m tired of running,” she says. “I’ve lost loved ones too. Some people can be cruel, they’re gonna take, and they’ll kill. I did a lot worst when I was out there—we all did. But we can stop that. We can start over.”
The Walking Dead will wrap up its eight season on April 15 followed immediately by the Fear the Waking Dead Season 4 premiere.
